About the Cleanroom
The IBNAM Cleanroom Core Facility is specifically designed for interdisciplinary research at the interface of physical and biological sciences. This state-of-the-art space offers the unique possibility to integrate nanotechnology and microfabrication with chemistry and biology in a highly controlled environment. The facility occupies a total area of 1,290 square feet and consists of a large class 10,000 lab, flanked by two class 1,000 rooms and one class 100 room. The cleanroom facility currently comprises a fully functional photolithography line located in the class 100 room. This room houses a mask aligner/exposure system, a spin coater, hot plates, and a laminar flow fume hood. The class 10,000 room incorporates a cell culture area, complete with a tissue culture hood, two incubators, a centrifuge, and a cell culture microscope. Interested users are encouraged to contact IBNAM Staff for training, and standard operating user guides are available for most pieces of equipment. The Cleanroom Core is located at the Robert H. Lurie Medical Research Center on Northwestern University’s Chicago Campus. 303 E Superior St
